Basenji

The Basenji is a unique medium-sized hound known for its alertness and elegance. Often referred to as the 'barkless dog', this breed communicates through a distinctive yodel-like sound called a 'barroo', rooted in its African heritage where it was originally bred for hunting. With a sleek coat and tightly curled tail, Basenjis are not only striking in appearance but also possess a fascinating history as one of the oldest dog breeds in the world.
